An artist from Augusta, Georgia, Travis has been painting and illustrating for years. Pine Empire designs are original and hand-drawn. He enjoys the intricacies found in design, painting, and illustration, aiming for recognizable designs with artistic fingerprints and hidden details.
The idea for Pine Empire came when Travis designed his own pint glass featuring Georgia's state bird, the Brown Thrasher, with a tiny crown. After being unable to acquire a desired design elsewhere, he adapted this for a shirt and decided to create more.
"Empire" is derived from Georgia's nickname, "The Empire State of the South." "Pine" represents the beloved pine trees found across the country, symbolizing a desire not to limit connections and to foster new friendships.
This grand landscape isn’t just a home to many amazing creatures, it is their empire. We hope to always highlight that through our original designs.
